The threat from Islam is real

A couple of recent incidents made we want to write about the threat of Islam to our way of life. Tom Harris MP wrote in his blog Neither the Koran nor the Bible sit comfortably with western values, which had me having a go at him, a self-confessed Christian.

Unfortunately, Tom uses old media tricks (he used to be a journalist) like setting up straw men and here we see him criticising his own religion as a cushion against accusations of Islamophobia.

The first incident that has concerned me lately is the banning from the UK of Dutch MP, Geert Wilders. Mr Wilders has twice been invited to the House of Lords to screen his short film, Fitna.

The problem for the UK ‘authorities’ is that the film portrays Islam in a way that they do not want us proles to consider; that the “religion of peace” is not all it’s cracked up to be; that killing adulterers and homosexuals perhaps isn’t the road we want to travel; that female genital mutilation offends our sensitivities.

Wilders uses several quotes from the Koran to help get his message across in Fitna. I actually don’t give this any credence at all as I know how easy it is for non-Christians, and even many Christians, to misquote the Bible terribly.

Wilders also makes the mistake of not recognising Western influence in the creation of al Qaeda by portraying the 9/11 and Madrid attacks as works solely of Islam.

All that said, Wilders does give enough evidence, not that we need it, that the clash of cultures – Islam and what we know as Western culture – is likely to escalate into the societal equivalent of a mountain-raising tectonic plate collision.

That is as long as people in the West continue to be afraid of being branded racist/Islamophobic/hatemongers and submit to having their freedom and way of life robbed at Koran-point.

The BBC couldn’t get a Government minister to explain the situation to John Humphries on Radio 4’s Today, but he did manage to speak to Liberal Democrat Home Affairs spokesman, Chris Huhne.

You can listen here to Mr Huhne telling John Humphries why he believes in freedom of speech, but only “up to the point where you become a threat to others – at that point society must step in.”

Not so ‘liberal’ after all. Typical modern British coward (Huhn (without the ‘e’) is German for ‘chicken’).

The other thing that has really annoyed me is the case of a foster mother with an unblemished record who was struck off the council’s register because a Muslim girl in her care became a Christian.

“A foster mother, who has looked after more than 80 children in the past ten years with an unblemished record, has been struck off the register because a Muslim girl in her care became Christian. The reasons given by her local council were that she failed in her duty to preserve the girl’s religion and to prevent the teenager from getting baptised, even though the girl was 16 and had made up her own mind to change religion. The woman has also been forced to move out of her home. She has lost the farmhouse she rented due to the loss of income from fostering.”

“The girl had been taken into care after being assaulted by a family member. She decided to be baptised because she saw it ‘as a washing away of the horrible things she had been through and a symbol of a new start’.

“Social services officials then advised the girl to reconsider her decision and urged her to stop attending Christian meetings, ruling last April that the girl should stay away from church for six months. (My emphasis)

“In November they struck the carer off their register, claiming she had breached her duty of care as a foster parent.”

What? Council employees seem time and time again to have been re-engineered to become traitorous, unholy cowards – so brainwashed by ‘diversity training’ that they would rather see good people destroyed than see sense.

It will serve us right if we become Dhimmis in our own country. The Islamists who desire to take over the whole world, especially the western world, must be laughing their heads off at the way we are playing right into their hands.

Tom Harris says that “I do know that the Muslims with whom I’m friendly seem to have no problem integrating with British society.” Maybe he means the MP in the neighbouring constituency or his local newsagent. What about the imams who preach death to Jews, Christians, Westerners generally? What about the people who call for the death of writers and cartoonists for the perceived crime of dissing Muhammad? What about those who take offence over every possible thing and in so doing make life almost intolerable for others?

Worst of all are the traitors in high places who are dismantling our civilisation and culling our freedoms by manipulating people’s differences.

It might seem that I am helping them here, but I am trying to avoid a conflagration with, hopefully, an honest appraisal of the danger we face if we lose the right to determine our own future, unmolested by others.

There are many other dangers, of course, like the EU, ‘human rights’ and political correctness generally, not forgetting GM food, humanism and many others things!

Let us not forget that mass immigration is just one of the methods that our masters are using to divide us and rule us. They are not interested in the ‘moderate’ Muslims that Tom Harris and the rest of us know. I certainly have no argument with them, but while an elected Dutch member of parliament is refused entry to the UK, thousands of radical Muslims have been allowed in to wreak havoc.

Just as planned.

  1. You’re quite right, Chris Huhne tries to use John Stuart Mill’s “On Liberty” to support the decision to stop Geert Wilders from entering our country.

But what Mill actually said was that opinions can be said to violate the Harm Principle “when the circumstances in which they are expressed are such as to constitute their expression as positive instigation to some mischievious act. An opinion that corn dealers are starvers of the poor, or the private property is robbery, ought to be unmolested when simply circulated through the press, but may justly incur punishment when delivered orally to an excited mob assembled before the house of a corn dealer, or when handed about among the same mob in the form of a placard.” (Mill, “On Liberty,” Penguin Classics, p. 119.)

I cannot see how Mr. Huhne can possibly consider Wilders’ proposed audience to be “an excited mob.” I would be interested to know the average of Lord Pearson and his colleagues from the House of Lords. I just can’t see them ever being so worked up that they would end up going round to some stranger’s house to give them a right good kicking. In fact Lord Pearson and his colleagues had no intention of assembling before someone else’s house. They were going to watch the film in their “own” house – The House of Lords.

An analogical argument claiming that Geert Wilders showing a fifteen minute movie to a group of elderly men and women in the House of Lords is similar to the example used by Mill to illustrate what violating the Harm Principle meant to him, would not hold.

Maybe that’s why Chris Huhne didn’t bother putting together an argument. The best he could do is say that “in his opinion” Jacqui Smith was right to stop an MP from Holland from entering the UK. After all, our political leaders know best, eh?

The many fronts of the West’s war on Islam

“Muslims living in the West face no less serious challenges. In addition to discriminatory laws, racial profiling is rampant and ‘no-fly lists’ deny many Muslims the right to travel without explaining themselves. Muslim symbols such as the hijab, and institutions such as mosques and schools, are under attack. The Islamophobia of secularists in countries such as France and Britain, discreet until 9/11, is now open.”

The West’s all-out assault on Islam and Muslims–from the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine to the political and military occupation of Pakistan, Egypt and Saudi Arabia by the US–has murdered or maimed millions. Muslims living in the West were spared such assaults in the past, but no more. One only has to glance through Western newspapers, magazines or television programmes to feel the intensity of hatred directed at Muslims. While the West has always been intolerant of ‘Others’, since 9/11 the mask of civility has come off, and there is barely the pretence of respecting human rights and the rule of law. Incessant propaganda about the threat to the West’s ‘way of life’ has herded ill-informed North Americans and racist Europeans into supporting oppressive measures against Muslims. While there are some voices of dissent, these have been marginalized by the corporate media working in tandem with the ruling elites. Thus, despite the revelations of the truth about the 9/11 attacks and the build-up to the war on Iraq, the vast majority of Americans still unquestioningly believe the official versions of those events.

To understand the issue, let us review some pertinent facts regarding 9/11. Ignoring the question of who was really responsible, there is no dispute that only America was hit. Although no Afghan was accused of involvement in the attacks, even in the official version of events, Afghanistan was subjected to severe military attack, not just by the US but by a host of European countries. By the same logic, would anyone consider it reasonable for China to attack the US because of its instigation and financial support for the opposition movements that launched the student riots to undermine the Chinese government in 1989? Does Iran have the right to attack the US, in order to force ‘regime change’, because of Washington’s backing for the terrorist Mujahideen-e Khalq Organization (MKO)? In just six months in 1981, the MKO killed more than 4,000 people in Iran, including a president, prime minister, ministers of justice and transportation, members of parliament and other prominent Iranian figures. The US has never officially denied backing these terrorists and now hosts and trains them in Iraq.

Immediately after 9/11 not only the US but also Canada, Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, the Netherlands and a host of other Western countries passed oppressive laws specifically targeting their Muslim citizens. Apart from the US, none of these countries had been attacked; so why this rush to pass draconian laws? While racism, prejudice and discrimination have historically been constant features of life in the West, until 9/11 Western governments maintained the pretence that they were not officially sanctioned. Now, official policy has given license to racists and bigots to target Muslims. The result has been a rise in violence and other harassment against Muslims in the West, with France, Germany and Denmark leading the way.

These assaults must be seen in their context: some are directed against Muslim countries; the others against Muslim communities living in the West. Some Muslim countries are subjected to military attacks, others attacked only politically, economically and culturally. In some cases, such as that of Islamic Iran, it is because their rulers refuse to bow to Western demands. In other cases, authoritarian regimes are complicit in Western attacks on Islamic movements, institutions and values. The cultural invasion of Muslim societies is carried out under the guise of promoting freedom of speech. Thousands of pro-Western non-governmental organizations (NGOs) have spread like viruses into the body-politic of Muslim societies. While the West’s favourite puppets, such as Pervez Musharraf, Hosni Mubarak, and the kings Abdullah of Saudi Arabia and Jordan, are supported by Western governments, these NGOs are further supported by civil society institutions in the West, such as charities and human rights groups.

Muslims living in the West face no less serious challenges. In addition to discriminatory laws, racial profiling is rampant and ‘no-fly lists’ deny many Muslims the right to travel without explaining themselves. Muslim symbols such as the hijab, and institutions such as mosques and schools, are under attack. The Islamophobia of secularists in countries such as France and Britain, discreet until 9/11, is now open. Multicultural Canada is not immune from such impulses either. The province of Quebec, which insists on protecting its French identity from Anglo-Saxon influences, is completely intolerant of Muslims. In small towns that have never seen a Muslim, town councils are rushing to pass laws banning hijab and other Islamic practices. One is reminded of the medieval Crusades; Pope Urban II mobilized support mainly among North Europeans who had never had any contact with the Muslims, while Southern Europeans who had experience of Muslims knew better than to be taken in by the Church’s propaganda.

In the West’s campaign against Muslims, it has also found a tiny but vocal minority whose names are Muslim, but who evidently know little of Islam or Muslims. These ‘good’ Muslims (from a Western perspective) immediately justify every outrage perpetrated against other Muslims, and get ample space in newspaper columns and on television to support the Western agendas with all the poisonous zeal of the renegade. Muslims who recognise and reject such voices must speak out to ensure that they cannot claim to be the true representatives of the community.

  3. niccolo65 – you could compare attempting to silence Mr Wilders to preventing someone from shouting ‘fire’ when a theatre really is ablaze. We all know the contempt New Labour has for the Upper House.

  4. Akhter – I hear what you’re saying on a number of these issues. I think it is helpful to make distinctions in certain areas.

I am disgusted by this Government on practically every level. One of the most despicable things it has done is to lie to take us into wars in places that we had no business in.

I’m sure we would disagree about the Near East, but that could take all night.

I believe that al Qaeda is an invention of the Western elites and that the attacks of 9/11 were blamed on Muslims as they had to put the blame on someone else and who better to blame to stir up a certain portion of the US population than Muslims?

How anyone can watch WTC7 collapse well after the twin towers and not say, hey, that looks exactly like a controlled demolition, is an amazing victory for mass conditioning techniques.

“the corporate media working in tandem with the ruling elites.”

Well, the elites do own most of the mass media.

If I may, I would like to slightly amend something you wrote,

“Immediately after 9/11 not only the US but also Canada, Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, the Netherlands and a host of other Western countries passed oppressive laws specifically targeting their Muslim citizens.

I agree with you about the ‘west’ attacking and undermining Muslim countries, but I think we need to differentiate between this and what is happening within Western countries.

The bottom line is, I believe, that mass immigration, especially of Muslims, has been just one mechanism used by western elites to destabilise society – by promoting political correctness they ensured there would be friction.

Other ways to divide and rule us include everything from feminism and ‘gay’ rights to the turning of fox hunting into a major issue, which it surely isn’t.

You then talk about ‘Islamophobia’ in the West – while others complain about the threat of one day living under a global caliphate.

What, of course, has happened due to the equality, diversity and human rights industries is that people have been set up to feel enmity towards others, for one reason or another.

In my opinion, probably the worst practice that goes on in the western world today is abortion. It is the killing of human life, but decades of conditioning by the elites and their media have turned this around to make people like me – objectors – the baddies in some people’s eyes.

I have been accused of hating women and being opposed to ‘women’s rights’ – including by Labour MP, Paul Flynn – just because I am opposed to the slaughter of innocent human life.

No mention of the father’s or unborn child’s rights.

So, it is the cowardly, scared and worn down natives of this country I am most annoyed with, including myself, for letting the government get away with treating us with such disdain for so long.

How do you feel about the girl who chose Christianity over Islam? Don’t you think the foster mother was treated despicably?
